  Discovery Camp Summit 2005
Take a look at what fun activities are inspiring this year’s crop of future world leaders at the Anthony Robbins Foundation Discovery Camp Summit 2005.

Day 1
Campers who arrive eager to learn and have some fun are first introduced to that much loved part of every process. Paperwork… Thankfully afterward there was time for games. After some comedic confusion over what a football really is, the boys got down to playing a rousing game of Soccer? Concluding the day was a thought provoking presentation on honesty followed by a compelling challenge to campers. The Twenty Four Hour Truth Challenge asked participants to be completely honest with themselves and the world for twenty-four hours. Everyone was game for the challenge.

Day 2
The Day of the Board Break. What are your limiting beliefs? It takes guts to admit them to yourself, let alone confront them in front of your peers but that is just what these campers did. The board breaking exercise brought tremendous breakthroughs to campers. Although the board break was the high point of the day the night certainly brought new delights with the Discovery Camp Ball. At the ball the electric slide and the gospel singers were real crowd pleasers as everyone stood up to do their best to boogie.

Day 3
Teamwork. True tests of leadership came today when campers learned the value of leading as a team in order to accomplish goals. As one camper wisely said “If everyone works together much can be accomplished”. One way campers learned this was by competing to build the largest free standing marshmallow/spaghetti structures for the Team Olympics competition. Noted speaker Marlon Smith also talked to campers today about the great influence the decisions we make have on our lives.

Day 4
The Day of the Ropes Course. Campers learned a lot today on the rope course and in the auditorium. Many campers had a fear of heights and had to conquer that fear in order to climb to the top of the course, some chose to do it blindfolded. It takes real leadership skill to direct a blindfolded person up a ropes course, or as the climber to trust your peers and believe you are capable of getting to the top. In the auditorium both Kathy Buckley and Liz Murray talked about the extreme personal challenges they faced in their lives and how they have succeeded in life.

Team Pictures
Team unity was strong and friendships were made fast at Discovery Camp Summit.

Day 5
The Day of Jokes and Community Service. Comedian Kathy Buckley challenged campers to make light of painful situation in their lives by turning it into a joke. Campers then found out whom among them stood out as a comic when a finalist from each Olympic team told their joke. After all the jokes were told the empowered campers went out to make a contribution to the community by leading by example.
